| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: the contact owns a 1999 nissan quest. the contact states that on saturday 10, 2005 while driving his vehicle caught on fire. it looked as if it started from the coolant fan. the damage $500-1000. the contact's wife smelled smoke and drove to the nearest parking lot and it caught on fire. the vehicle was not driving unusual before this happened. the cooling system did not have a leak, but the fan melted because that was where the fire started. he was unsure of why the fan caught on fire, but the contact believed it was an electrical fire. he contacted the police and the fire departments. the dealership was not contacted because the vehicle was out of warranty. the vehicle was taken to a mechanic. he contacted the insurance company, and because he only had liability nothing was covered. *ak *nm |
