| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2001 chevy s-10 pickup truck: the right side tail gate cable just snapped after i lowered the tail gate. no heavy loads were on the gate at the time. i looked at the cable and it had rusted inside the plastic covering. it looks like the plastic cover holds water inside and causes the corrosion. i called a chevy dealer and was told they would not replace it, but i found a recall on other chevy trucks with the same problem. *nm |
