Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: when trying to start the vehicle would not start. the consumer inspected underneath the hood and discovered that the positive side of the battery melted. there were no previous problems with the battery. the consumer consulted the dealer, and the vehicle was out of warranty, and no recalls were involved. the consumer had the vehicle towed to repair service shop, and they replaced the old battery with a new one. the technician noted that he had never seen anything like this. a friend searched the internet and discovered a class action lawsuit pending against ac delco batteries. this was the original battery that came on the vehicle. it was an ac delco factory battery. no problems since the replacement. *ak |
