Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Latch system on 2005 cadillac srx cannot be used with car seats....the latches are too high up to allow for proper installation and too far away. baby car seat can only be placed in the middle of the car but you must attempt to find (neither local dealer nor cadillac usa had any idea about how to do this, by the way) a special "option" accessory, a nylon "x" strap to strap in and hold in place the rear seat center console that, as its own manual points out, must be used if you place the car seat in the middle and you can't use the latch bc of the side impact air bag in the rear that cannot be turned off. note, the accessory can be purchased through the dealership, even though crest cadillac in syracuse ny said otherwise. *jb |
