| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: the contact owns a 1999 daewoo lanos. the contact stated that nhtsa campaign recall 04v357000 for the camshaft position sensor was suppose to have been corrected, but she stated that the problem was not corrected. she took the vehicle to dealer for service and three days later the check engine light came back on. the dealership by the recall was suppose to have installed an additional fuse. she contacted the dealership back, they told her that she would have to pay to have this looked into further. she got onto the internet and saw that other people had complained about the same type of problem on another website. the air bag warning light stayed on all the time as well. the contact stated that this repair work was done on february 2005. the service invoices stated that repair was done for the sensor, fuse kit, and body electrical recall (air bag). also, the repair invoice stated that air bag warning light was still on after recall repairs. they told her that they could further investigate it at charge to her, but she declined. the service invoice parts were fixed bolts and nuts, and new air bag kit. the main recalls for engine and air bag lights were still on after the recall repairs were performed. the dealership gave her a tune up charging her $2000. *ak |
