Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I was getting ready to leave work, put my car in reverse and heard a loud bang. my car wouldn't move. the transmission just died. no warning in advance. the car is a 2001 ford windstar with 51,000 miles on it and cost my $ 3000 for a brand new transmission. ford stated " no warranty" over 30,000 miles sorry. should this be happening to a van that is only 4 years old and that cost me $27,000. the garage that installed my transmission stated that the parts melted together and we were lucky it didn't start on fire. *jb |
