Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: the owner had problems with the car since the day of purchase. in the middle of driving the check engine light comes on, the car stalls. there is no acceleration and the gas pedal does not work. the check engine light does not come on before the stalling begins. this happened three times. the first time this happened the owner thought it ran out of gas. there has never been an accident as a result. the vehicle has been into the repair shop three times, and the repair have been unsuccessful. the dealership replaced the accelerator position sensor, throttle chamber, and air volume learning procedure. the second time the accelerator position sensor was replaced again. the third time the accelerator position sensor and engine control module were replaced. again, this did not appear to have repaired the problem, the owner is not confident with this vehicle. the dealership would not guarantee this would never happen again. *ak |
