Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: all four power windows will not work. from march through september of 2005 i they each quit working. the problems did not occur all at the same time. the consumer stated that the rear windows were rarely used; probably not more than six times. when the windows were inspected the mechanic told the consumer that the problem was with the regulators in the window motors. after taking the doors apart he found that the cables in each of the regulators snapped. also, told the consumer that he had never seen a power window system set up like these were. they were unable to replace just the cables, but, had to replace the entire regulator in each window. the parts for the rear windows were only available through gm directly. the consumer felt that the cables in the regulators were defective. *ak |
