| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: In a matter of one weeks time we had 2 door locks fail on the passenger doors of our gmc envoy xl. the latch that closes the door failed and one of the doors opened while driving the car. i had the first latch on the passenger rear door replaced on september 20th and the same thing happened with the driver side rear door on september 25, 2005. this time i was not driving just putting my child in his car seat and the door would not close. i am talking with gm about this problem because the dealership told me they have changed quite a few of these. this is a major safety issue and needs to be a recalled item. i only had the car 3 years and a part that can cause such a deadly consequence should not wear out. this needs to be investigated. *nm |
