Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt: the consumer complained about an abs brake problem. the problem first started on september 7, 2005. nhtsa recall 05v379000 concerning the abs sensor was issued. the consumer had contacted the manufacturer multiple times. the manufacturer told the consumer to take vehicle to a dealership to have the vehicle inspected. the dealership inspected the vehicle and said that the abs module was bad, not the sensors. the abs light stayed on even when the vehicle was turned off. the consumer was concerned that the problem could cause an accident. he felt that the problem was the same problem as mentioned in the recall, but just a different cause. *ak (11/08/05) the abs module shorted, which caused it to run and be activated at all times. *sc |
