| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Non-working parking brake. if the vehicle is left in neutral (automatic or manual) with the parking brake applied the vehicle can roll. see 05v161000. this is caused by a design flaw from the manufacturer that causes the parking brake to not fully disengage while driving causing wear on the parking brake components. these vehicles have separate brake systems for normal and parking brakes. the parking brake system should never wear out. applies to all 1999 - 2005 gm & gmc full size pickups and full size suv vehicles. *jb |
