| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The brake pedal had become increasingly hard to push over the course of a few weeks. finally, the abs warning light came on and the abs pump ran continually, heating the floor pan of the vehicle. i removed the abs fuse to stop the pump. this in turn has disabled the abs and the traction control system on the vehicle. in researching the issue, it seems the repair from gm is very expensive ($1100) and uses the same version of a commonly failing part that might only last another 40-50k miles. *jb |
