| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt evenflo model #5581356p1,dom october 12, 2004. the consumer noticed on october 4, 2005 that there were two metal springs on the base on the seat that controlled how the seat latched to the carrier in the base. one of the springs was missing and the spring was necessary in order to get the car seat to latch into the base. one could hear it click and it let know that the car seat was latched into the base. when hearing the clicking sound it could make one unaware of the problem. if the car seat was upside down, and the belt path was facing away from the consumer the spring on the right side was still intact and the spring on left was missing. *ak the consumer stated the spring could easily be dislodged from the underside of t he base. once the spring becomes missing, the seat will not attach to the base on that side. if only one spring is missing the seat will continue to click onto the base. updated 12/14/05. *jb |
