Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: dt: the contact stated when the vehicle was shifting from second to third gear the engine revved. if he kicked the vehicle into passing gear the engine revved even more. a local repair shop stated that it was the blow-off valve that burned out the bands in the transmission. the repair shop did rebuild the transmission. ford had previously issue a service bulletin for this component. *ak
