Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I drive a well maintained 2000 nissan maxima se that is regularly serviced. i took the car to the shop at 100,000 due to "service engine soon" light. the diagnosis was to replace all 6 ignition coils - because 1 was likely bad, they couldn't tell which one, and that once one goes the others follow suit. they wanted $1400. i believe this is a manufacturers defect and should be recalled, but nissan refuses to recall this part. hundreds and hundreds of 2000 maxima owners are having the same problem with these ignition coils. it makes me wronder about nissan these days. *jb |
