Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 2002 gmc envoy seemed to be running fine. one day on the way home, i heard a loud bang and my rpm's seemed to go up. it almost made me swerve into oncoming traffic due to the distraction. when i got to where i was going, i found out that i had no reverse, and it shifted extremely hard between 1st and 2nd gear. dealer told me they never heard of it, but it needed a sun gear, approximately $2,000 to fix. i opted for the new tranny for $3,200. *jb |
