Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The airbag light came on and stays on in my 2001 chrysler town & country. at the same time, the cruise control became inoperable and the dashboard lights stopped working. when we took it to the dealer, we were told that the problems were all related to the onboard computer and that it could take thousands of dollars just to diagnose the problem. they said some 2001's were recalled but "not your vin #." asked if there was a problem with the airbag or whether it would deploy, we were told there was no way of knowing without doing the major diagnostics. they refused to give an estimate or a ceiling on the price. this is unfair and we are worried that the airbag will not deploy and that there may be significant instability in the on-board computer which could lead to a serious safety problem. *jb
