Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a 2005 toyota tundra. at times, it doesn't shift up properly and the engine revs up very high, but the truck doesn't accelerate. at times, when i am coasting down a hill, it will shift down, causing the truck to slow down. i took it to the dealer and was told that the transmission is completely electronic and that happens sometimes. i feel that this is a factory defect. last week, i was trying to make a left turn at an intersection. i pressed the pedal but the truck didn't accelerate. i could have been hit by an oncoming car. i've come to realize the this is a dangerous defect, as well. i hope eventually, they asses this problem and issue some kind of fix. *jb |
