| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2005 dodge ram 3500 on a couple of occasions power steering fluid had come out the cap of the pump. power steering pump replaced by jim doran dodge in mcminnville, or after complete failure of power assist. about 6000 miles after the replacement pump was installed, while making a corner the steering wheel froze and would not turn-upon hitting the brakes the brake pedal was solid and would not move or apply any braking action. after a couple of seconds it went back to normal and i proceeded into a service station cautiously, while turning around at the station the condition recurred for a couple more seconds. upon returning to the dealership they assessed the vehicle. they had no clue about a intermittent loss of power assist and system freeze but said the power steering pump was bad but denied warranty to replace it. it has since done this on a number of occasions but with no regular frequency. upon taking the vehicle to another dodge dealership they said they couldn't do anything if it didn't happen when they test drove it.*jb |
