| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 1999 ford f250 with firestone steeltex tires. tread came off left rear tire. an inspection showed tread was separating on rt front tire. sent tire to firestone and got a form letter about abuse of tires (under inflated, over inflated). same letter firestone used when failures of ranger tires were occurring. i have the oil changed every 6000 miles and have tire pressure checked. i also check pressure myself. i also rotated tires as suggested by ford. tires had good tread and wear patterns. these tires are defective. *nm |
