Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Uhaul rented a truck to me and the brakes went out on me completely minutes after descending the steep west slope of wolf creek pass, colorado. uhaul's tow truck driver from pagosa springs, colorado happened to be there at the time when i pulled over. he confirmed that the brake pedal went to the floor and that there were no brakes. at night, away from a town, i personally, temporarily fixed the problem. but uhaul, refused to address the acknowledge the risk to my like and did not make any effort to fix the truck nor replace the truck. they simply told me to rent another truck if i did not want to use that truck. so i had to pay twice the rental for one truck rental. as far as i know they never serviced that truck and rented it out to someone else who may have been injured. it there anything you can do to at least make sure no one else rents that truck before a repair is made. if this is not your department who can i write to that governs this type of neglect. *jb
