| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I had antifreeze leaking from my cadillac deville and took it to a mechanic that i have a lot of trust in. i expected to hear i had a bad radiator and would have to replace it. instead he called me and told me that gm has a bad design defect with the materials they used on the head bolts to hold the motor. they deteriorate because of this and strip out causing pressure on the radiator and it cracks. all this is a result of using aluminum instead of steal. the mechanic said he see the same thing every other week and to date gm has not done anything about it. i called gm and they blew me off. they gave me a file number of 1-380-399-885. *nm |
