| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 1999 gmc yukon slt 4x4 5.7l vin[xxx] has the same unwanted low speed abs activation that is currently being recalled on 1999 and up gmc light trucks. i contacted two local dealers and they both told me that me vin was not recalled. i also called gm directly and was told the same thing. i think the scope of this recall needs to be expanded. i recently had to replace the rf wheel speed sensor and the problem has gone away. the abs/wheel speed sensor is not sold separately from the hub assembly. i paid $380.00 plus labor for an aftermarket hub assembly just to get an $80 sensor. i have the old sensor. *jb updated 07/17/2012 *js information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6) |
