Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: How and when discovered = customer posted product safety compliant/review which prompted us to file a report. don't buy this travel system! december 22, 2005; (memphis, tn) we bought this travel system 3 months before our baby was born. after using it for six weeks, we will be returning it to the store tomorrow. the main problem is that the car seat is not safe! we noticed some time ago that the car seat sways from side to side when turning our suv. yesterday, i used the car seat in my car for the first time and the seat and base tipped over all the way with my six week old daughter in it. the base is too narrow to keep the carrier upright. before this happened, i was already unhappy with the car seat because it is difficult to snap into the base and the stroller. also, the car seat is smaller than most, and my daughter always looks so uncomfortable in it. i will not buy any eddie bauer brand baby products again. i would give this system a zero if it was an option here! we went to the manager of our local "babies r us" and she said she was a nationally certified car seat person (something like that) and she actually got in the back seat of our ford expedition, stood on the car seat base, and pulled on the latch belt with all she had to tighten it and possibly make it work. even with all of her effort, it still would rock side to side! in our suv it would tilt side to side with each curve or turn. in our 4 door car it will actually turn over on a curve or turn. if possible i will post photos as proof. product description: eddie bauer its travel system - mercer; upc: 044681016707; skn/item #: 187574; amazon.com asin: b000b0rp0m asin url: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/b000b0rp0m/ref=sr_11_1/104-8490130-4244738?%5fencoding=utf8&v=glance. *jb
