Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Brake pedal when pushed hard goes to the floor. brake pedal when pressed normal has a spongy feel to it. almost ran into the back end of a car that was stopped at a stop sign because i was expecting the vehicle to stop when i applied the brakes but the vehicle continued until i pressed the brake pedal hard. vehicle makes horrendous noise "popping sound" when the abs system is engaged. this popping sound happens every time between 30 -45 miles per hour during a "hard' brake situation. these incidents have been reported to the dealer on 3 occasions but the dealer said the abs system and brakes checked out ok according to ford's specifications. *jb |
