Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: When getting my 2000 chevy truck inspected, it failed due to the parking brake not holding. curious i went to several inspection station and asked for an inspection. the four shops i approached all asked if i had my parking brake fixed before they would inspect it. when speaking to a moritz chevy (in ft. worth, tx) dealership, i was told that if you don't use the parking brake it will shift and not work. and worse they said it could rub the other rotors and eventually need replacing. all this from something that is never used in the car. should i have the air bag inspected since i never use it? how many people have been hurt or worse? everyone apparently knows there is something wrong with the parking brake except for chevy. why is that? how many people have to die before they will listen? *jb |
