Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: For the last year my security light will randomly come on. soon after..sometimes hours, sometimes days...the car will not start. i contacted my dealer and they said it is a passlock security code problem. the car thinks it is getting stolen and you have to wait 15-20 minutes and try again. the code is easy to fix but it is also $395. the only place that can fix it is the dealership. i have done some investigating and many impalas have this problem. my dealer suggested i write a complaint because they see it a lot and hopefully a recall could occur. i don't know when it is going to happen again and being a young female it is scary when i walk out to my car late at night or alone. i have found car website forums and many have listed this same problem. i appreciate your time and hope that something can be done. this can be a safety issue for many people. |
