| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The driver side air bag of my 2003 taurus deployed for no apparent reason while i was driving. i was traveling on a two lane road at 30 mph when it deployed. i swerved to the left and recovered and pulled over and stopped. i thought the car had been hit by a large rock on the side of the car. on inspection there was no injury to the car. i was taking my son home from our vacation home in nh when it occurred. the ford dealership replaced all the air bag elements but could not tell me why it deployed. both the dealership and ford motor said that they would be unwilling to guarantee that it won't happen again. *nm |
