| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated while traveling 30 mph, flames erupted from the engine compartment. the vehicle pulled over and no injuries were sustained. the engine and front of the vehicle were completely engulfed in flames by the time the fire department arrived. the vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. the service dealer and manufacturer were notified. an inspector from the manufacturer was sent to inspect the cause of the fire. the contact suspected a melted section of the plastic fuel line melted and leaked fuel onto the hot engine causing the fire. |
