Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I bought a brand new 2005 4-cylinder camry in 2004 after owing a 1988 with 256,000 miles and being extremely happy with it. however, i was dissatisfied with my new camry only after having it for a week when i started noticing how it would hesitate from taking off from a dead stop and when turning corners. i still can??t figure what turning corners has to do with speed. i had to change my driving habits because it was getting dangerous. i now have to allow longer a few more seconds to turn in front of traffic, in case it hesitates since it doesn't do this consistently. i took it in to toyota, the dealer i bought it from, 60 miles from where i live, twice and they couldn't seem to find the problem. they seemed to know of the problem, due to others reporting it and them sensing it themselves, but just acknowledged it wasn't an issue to be fixed. they gave us the name of their customer relations representative in california to contact, which we did. when first contacting him, he too made it sound like it was very important and he would immediately take care of this issue and get back with us. the next thing we heard from him was the same thing we had already heard, this isn't a problem, this is normal, there is nothing we can do for you. this may not be problem for them but it is for me and it sure sounds like it is a problem for an awful lot of others out there that are complaining on this website too. you ask what has been done to correct the failure, nothing by toyota!!! *nm
