Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2002 dometic refrigerator, model # rm2652. the contact filed a claim with dometic and would like to know why it was denied. he received a recall notification and put in the repair request. one year later, dometic had to replace the refrigerator and charged the contact $1,500.00 to replace the unit. dometic stated that the model number of his refrigerator was included in the recall. dometic sent the contact an envelope to send them the bill and stated that they would pay for the reimbursement claims. they later stated that they sent it to the wrong address. the contact received the notice on may 21, 2007. he also received two bills. the first was for $140.40 plus labor to replace the cooling unit. the cooling unit was under warranty. the second charge was for $1,518.50 to have the unit replaced when it failed. dometic stated that they do not owe the contact anything. the part number was unavailable.
