Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2004 chrylser sebring. on seven occasions since she purchased the vehicle in july 2005, the air bag light was illuminated. the dealer has been unable to diagnose the failure or repair it. chrysler advised her to have it diagnosed by another dealer. in september 2005, the dealer stated that the code was cleared and no repair at present was needed. one week after the the vehicle was diagnosed, the air bag light was illuminated. one month later, the dealer also stated that they performed a brb test, restored the code, checked the wiring and seat belt pretention. the air bag light continued to illuminate and the dealers stated that the contact complained about the light and they replaced the air bag control module. on july 16, 2007, the dealer stated that there were no codes and the vehicle was operating to factory specifications. the air bag light continued to illuminate and the manufacturer advised her to have the vehicle diagnosed at her expense; however, the contact stated that after seven attempts she doesn't feel the need to have it diagnosed due to the safety risk involved, it needs to be repaired. the fuel system was not available. the failure mileage was 24237 and the current mileage was 42000. |
