Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I purchased a 2005 dodge magnum rt in march of 05. the dash/instrument lights dimmed normally to a level safe for night time driving. then i purchased a 2006 magnum in oct. 05. the dash lights do not dim to the same level as the 05 car. in fact, they don't dim anywhere close. they are so bright on the lowest setting that i have to put a towel over the instrument cluster at night which then makes the speedometer (a required piece of equipment) useless. the dodge company and the dealer have refused to acknowledge a problem and or fix it. dodge needs to have a recall to fix this safety problem. if you take a cell phone at night and turn it on so the panel is illuminated, hold it about 2 feet from your face, that is how bright at the lowest setting the instrument lights are on this car. i have looked at other magnums and they are the same. *nm |
