| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Driving a 2005 chrysler sebring, started to rain and skidded sideways into a curb. the air bags deployed and smoke started to billow from the steering wheel area. the other bag broke the windshield. i turned off the ignition and got out of the car. i suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. upon release from the hospital i went to put on my coat and discovered that it was me that had been on fire. 1/3 of the sleeve had been burned by the exploding air bag. if i had been unconscious or it was summer i could have suffered from smoke inhalation or burned at least my arm. something should be done about the sparks and possible explosion that the air bags set off. *jb |
