| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated the speedometer stopped working without warning. the dealership determined the speedometer cluster needs to be replaced. upon driving out of town for a few hours the speedometer read 120 mph in park. the contact took the vehicle to the original gmc dealership and service department. they determined it was the cluster that needed to be replaced, and that it would be 6-8 weeks until the part would be available because it was on back order due to the high volume of envoys and yukons that clusters needed to be replaced. the contact felt that if a number of gmc vehicles had faulty clusters then perhaps it should be recalled for at least for sub standard reasons, if not for safety reasons. *ak |
