Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2002 lincoln ls 4.0 v8 (50k miles) - transmission disengages at any speed. also, it shifts very hard, when driving and when putting shift lever into reverse and drive. lastly, it surges when in gear at idle, and upon deceleration, refuses to downshift until high (3-3500 rpms) which creates a sensation of being pulled down the road. dealer cannot replicate problems. i have seen on multiple discussion groups that this vehicle has problems with the solenoid pack and valve body creating symptoms like those described above. it is dangerous to drive the vehicle like this. *jb |
