Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated while driving at 30mph, a pinging sound was heard coming from the engine. the engine was turned off for 45 minutes. when the engine was restarted the pinging noise remained. again, the engine was shut off. however, the engine would not restart the second time. the vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop for inspection. the repairman determined the engine failed due to oil sludge buildup.
