Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated the automatic transmission would not shift properly at 40mph which caused the vehicle to stall and operate at a reduced speed. the transmission light on the dash panel illuminated afterwards. the vehicle was seen by a dealer. the service department cleared the failure code and the light no longer illuminated. afterwards the problem persisted. the vehicle was seen by an independent transmission repair shop. the mechanic suggested replacing the valve pan or the transmission would lock up. the contact took the vehicle back to the dealer and relinquished any ownership of the vehicle.
