| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated while driving less than 10 mph on an icy road, a vehicle stopped short in front of the contact's vehicle. in an attempt to brake, the abs on the vehicle did not engage. the contact's vehicle collided with the vehicle in front of it. there was a drill-like sound when the brakes are depressed. the vehicle does not normally engage on wet or icy surfaces. the vehicle was taken to a private mechanic. there is a nhtsa recall, 99i006000, regarding the service brakes. the vehicle has the same problems as indicated in the recall; however it is not included in the recall due to the vin. |
