| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 1999 chevy tahoe abs front wheel speed sensor corrosion chevrolet/gmc has indicated that the 1999 chevy tahoe that i own is not covered under the previously announced safety recall 05068. the vehicle was taken to a local dealer who indicated the following: "...found the wheel speed sensors with rust corrosion, causing unwanted abs activation and increased stopping distances during low speed brake applications. recommend replacing both wheel speed sensors to correct this condition." the vehicle also lived geographically within for 137,000 miles in the "rust belt states" covered under recall 05068, however gm has indicated that the vehicle 1999 chevy tahoe is not considered part of the recall. *nm |
