Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dop 03/12/03, was the date my family purchased this beautiful monaco,36 dbd lapalma. 09/15/03 we began repairs on manifold leaks (3 times between 8458 mileage to 20747 mileage)and water leaks, during the first service the dealership which performed the repair noted the corrosion on the chassis to the service dealer. (they said the coach was pre clean and corrosion protection was added per monaco standards)08/03/05, workhorse certified dealership repaired the manifold leak for the third time, at that time i was requested by tech who performed the repair to lay under the coach to inspect the occurring corrosion problem, he stated if this is not corrected, i would have floor, and possible brake and transmission problems, i called monaco and reported the problem. 08/29/05 katrina hit our area, we left in our coach, and lived in it for twelve weeks. 02/23/06 we took a getaway trip for the weekend to smokey mountains, as we enter atlanta, i smelled smoke from the brakes, abs light flashed, then at 65 mph brakes completely went out on hwy 85, i pulled into a rv service center. 03/24/06 the repair center informed me that workhorse approved a complete brake job and replaced all abs sensors. they also informed me that workhorse stated, when they sell their chassis to different factories, they are responsible after transport, to clean and add corrosion protection repair center also stated, when they noted this to monaco, their comment was if a coach rides up and down the beach this could cause this type of corrosion .right now all of my brake and transmission lines are in danger of leaking, which can cause a accident. workhorse has honored their warranty. monaco, my family bought this coach to enjoy going camping, are you going to honor your warranty are place our family in a do not use are use with caution situation. as a certified tech in automobiles we would recommend two options, completely restrip all rust off and redip chassis. *jb
