| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2000 subaru outback serviced at subaru dealer. oil change, brake repair, 100 point safety check on 3/21/06. auto garaged 3/21/06 through 3/23/06. first time at highway speed since repair hood opens and breaks windshield (multiple cracks,glass splinters). hood deforms to shape of windshield. returned auto to subaru dealer who referred inspection to subaru factory rep. subaru factory service rep inspects auto 3/28/06 & reports hood latch is working okay and no repair necessary. hood was not opened following repair. hood certainly appeared to be closed before incident. *jb |
