Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My new 2006 jeep commander now shuts the engine off at will while driving. i was exiting i-4 onto cr579 going just under 40 mph when the steering went out (so i thought) all gauges were lit i rolled off onto the side of the road once in neutral the truck restarted. i dropped it at courtesy chrysler 3/29 and was informed prior to inspection that the problem had been seen on the commanders and was apparently prevalent on the pacifica model however there was nothing they could do if no code came up so at this point i am expected to pick the truck up tell my wife to drive around my children as if things are a ok. spoke to the service manager who stated that he is aware of the problem and he would check to see if dc is working on anything to fix it and if not he will tell me(very comforting) the dealership is very very helpful and professional but apparently just don't know what to do. *nm |
