Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Rear differential failure (2005 nissan titan, 12,800 miles) - there were very few signs leading up to the failure of the read differential. i noticed some loud thuds coming from the drivetrain as i accelerated. then within about 0.5 miles of driving, the thuds were louder and much more frequent, and the truck was noticeably struggling to move. i immediately parked it and had it towed to the dealership. they are replacing the rear axle assembly (the damage is in the rear differential, but apparently nissan just replaces the entire rear axle assembly). the axle assembly is back ordered for 2 weeks. *jb |
