| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Incident reported in amazon.com customer review section of website. url regarding the complaint: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/b000ax1tq6/ref=sr_11_1/104-8490130-4244738?%5fencoding=utf8&v=glance the review was filtered by amazon.com customer service on 03/14/2006, then it was sent to amazon.com product compliance (product safety) for documentation on 03/29/2006. the customer will be contacted by amazon.com customer service of the concern, and the vendor will be informed about the customer's safety inquiry. customer noted in his review of the cosco inc, eddie bauer its travel system - lakemont; upc: 044681016714; skn: 187566; amazon.com asin: b000ax1tq6: hazard - per sheriff's office personnel, march 14, 2006; do not buy this product. we registered for this item, but when we went to install it, felt we were not able to do so properly. we then took it down to the sheriff's office to install (because we were having trouble with it), we found out that we were having trouble because they are considered by professional installers to be the worst on the market (anything by eddie bauer with this type of car seat base is). we were unable to install it, because even they could not install it safely. while waiting to see if they could make it work, i encountered another lady that had just returned the same one that morning due to the deputies being unable to install her's either!? when she returned her's to target, she was told that the eddie bauers are returned frequently for this problem. i was later told the same thing at babies r us. please remember: one of the leading causes of death in infants is improperly installed car seats. many parents out there that do not get these checked by professionals will end up making a grave mistake.. thinking the base "just wobbles a lot". please keep your infant safe, and don't buy eddie bauer travel systems unless a professional tells you it can be installed properly in your vehicle. end |
