Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a 2000 chevrolet k1500 pickup with 43,000 miles on it. the throttle has began to occasionally stick, and the dealer says that it is normal and the throttle body has to be cleaned at a cost of approximately $140. when the throttle sticks from a "standing start", the vehicle lurches forward (or backward if in reverse). i have owned a dozen vehicles in my life, and none of them have ever had this problem. yet, service advisors at walser chev say this is a common problem with my type pickup. i believe this is a manufacturing defect, and should be recalled. *nm |
