Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: This is the most recent occurrence of this incident (4/14/06). the issue involves the seat belt mechanisms on my 1993 mitsubishi 3000gt vr-4. the seat belts will not retract fully and at times are simply inoperable. the real safety issue becomes apparent when i am braking and the seat belts have too much slack as a result of the mechanism not providing enough tension to secure the belts. this failure could potentially lead to a scenario where i am braking forcefully, and by not being properly restrained, come into contact with my steering wheel or windshield. based on similar stories from other owners, i am inclined to say that this problem exists among all 3000gts and stealths. *nm
