Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: 2005 silverado hybrid engine turns off at stops when brake is applied. *ts the hybrid turns engine off at stops when brake is applied. the consumer feels that it takes too long for the engine to pick up power after taking foot off the brake and applying the accelerator. the consumer feels that the delay is dangerous when trying to enter fast moving traffic from a stop. while stopped on an incline vehicle rolls backwards while the consumer's foot is in transition from the brake to the accelerator pedal. *nm
