| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Abs control module failure. i was informed by two dealerships, north pointe volvo and dyer and dyer volvo, as well as volvo professional repair (all located in the atlanta ga area) that this was a common occurrence. well i experienced this yesterday. the automobiles' abs no longer is effective when this unit goes bad, leading to dangerous situations. it also leads to stalling, and shifting problems with the transmission which can lead to an accident, and almost caused me to have one yesterday. the part has to be replaced to the tune of nearly $1000.00 i can procure the old part from the service manager. i was informed this was a design flaw as heat causes the deterioration of this module due to its location near the engine. *jb |
