Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I was going to the lake when i heard a pinging in the engine on the drivers side. i stopped to check the oil level. there was plenty of oil. i drove to the lake and had a great day of fishing. on the way home, i heard the pinging again but the pinging was not there on acceleration. after driving almost total of 400 miles that day, i stopped by the gas station to put gas in, after putting gas in about 2-3 miles from home, the spark plug, coil shot out of the head - went home to check - just to my shock found no threads in the head. i also had a friend that this happened to so i was thinking it was just a one time incident but it also happened to me. i will have to find out what ford states when i take it in and how much it will cost. *jb |
